01About this policy
BMS Pulse for iOS is developed by Anton Perchenko (“we”). This policy explains how the app and this support website handle information. Contact the developer about privacy at perchenko.anton@gmail.com. No BMS Pulse account is required. The advertising and purchase sections apply to versions in which those features are available.
02Battery data stays on your device
The app receives data directly from the battery you select over Bluetooth. Depending on the BMS, this includes the device name and identifier, serial number, firmware, charge level, capacity, voltage, current, temperatures, cell readings, balancing and protection states. You may also enter a battery nickname or serial number.
Saved batteries, recent readings, comparisons, measurement history, notification thresholds, language, theme and unit preferences are stored on your device to provide monitoring, charts and alerts. The app does not upload these battery readings to a developer server or include them in advertising requests. We do not operate a cloud monitoring or account service. Device backups may contain app data depending on your Apple settings.
03Permissions and background monitoring
Bluetooth access is used to find and read the battery you choose. Notification permission is used for local alerts you configure. If you enable persistent Bluetooth, the app may receive and save measurements while in the background, subject to iOS limits. These measurements remain local. You can disable persistent Bluetooth in the app and revoke permissions in iOS Settings. The app does not request access to your contacts or precise location.
04Advertising and your choices
Versions with advertising use Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform to obtain privacy choices where required. Our ad requests disable personalization and publisher first-party IDs. This does not mean that advertising processes no data.
Google may process IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic/performance data for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. See Google’s SDK data disclosure and how Google uses information from apps.
When offered, use “Ad privacy settings” in the app to review or withdraw consent. Refusing consent does not disable battery monitoring; ad availability depends on the choices and Google’s requirements. The first 30 days are ad-free, and a one-time purchase can remove ads. The app does not request new ads during this free period, after a verified removal purchase, or while in the background. Removing ads does not delete data already held by Google; its privacy policy explains retention and controls.
05Purchases and the ad-free period
Apple handles in-app payments through the App Store. The app checks verified transaction and entitlement information to enable and restore ad removal. We do not receive your payment card details from the app. Apple handles its records under the Apple Privacy Policy.
The start date of the ad-free period is stored in the device’s Keychain. This entry may survive reinstalling the app on the same device. The app does not send this date to a developer server. Restoring a purchase uses your Apple Account; there is no separate BMS Pulse login.
06Support and diagnostic exports
If you email perchenko.anton@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send through Gmail. We use them to answer your request and investigate reported problems. Sending diagnostics is optional.
A diagnostic export can contain device names and identifiers, timestamps, recent measurements, connection events and raw Bluetooth communication records. Review a file before sharing it. Exporting creates a local file; you decide whether and where to share it. A recipient or sharing service handles the copy under its own privacy practices.
07Retention and deletion
Local measurement history remains until you delete the battery from the app or delete the app’s data. The 1-hour, 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day chart choices are viewing periods, not automatic deletion schedules. Removing a saved battery deletes its saved readings, history and comparisons from the app’s active storage.
Deleting the app removes its local app container; Keychain entries and copies in backups or files you exported may remain. Manage backups and exported copies separately. We cannot remotely access or delete data stored only on your phone.
Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the issue and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You can request its deletion by email. Google and Apple manage retention of their own service records under their policies.
08Purposes, legal bases and recipients
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, local monitoring and purchases support the service you request; responding to support and protecting the service rely on legitimate interests; optional advertising-related processing relies on consent where required and the other bases explained by the providers. Legal obligations may require keeping certain records.
We do not sell battery telemetry or provide it to advertisers. Information you send for support is handled through Google’s email service. Google handles advertising services and Apple handles purchases. These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, under the transfer arrangements described in their privacy policies. BMS Pulse does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
09Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of personal information we hold, object to processing, request a restriction or withdraw consent. Contact perchenko.anton@gmail.com; we may need information to verify that a request concerns you. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully performed. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. For data held independently by Google or Apple, use their privacy controls or contact them. 10This website, children and changes
This support website has no analytics scripts, advertising SDKs or contact forms added by us. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Hosting services process connection information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
BMS Pulse is a battery-monitoring utility and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We update this policy when the app’s data practices change; the date at the top identifies the latest revision.
